The Baltimore Ravens didn't wait too long to make what could be one of the defining moves of the early free agency blitz, signing former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry to a two-year contract worth $16 million that could eventually balloon to as much as $20 million.
The Ravens instantly gave themselves one of the most potent offenses in the league and (arguably) the best quarterback/running back combination with two-time MVP Lamar Jackson suiting up next to Henry. Ravens fans were over the moon when this deal was finalized, and Henry shares in their enthusiasm.
Henry himself wasted little time introducing himself to the Flock in grand style, and Ravens fans responded with universal praise and adulation for one of the greatest running backs of the last decade. He and Jackson should combine for a lethal dose of ground-and-pound offense.
Flock Nation I swea it’s up ! 💪🏾

NFL world reacts to Derrick Henry signing with Baltimore Ravens
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who always speaks his mind on Twitter, was surprised that Henry made this move after getting shut down when he asked him via text. Humphrey isn't going to like practicing against the 240-pound Henry.
No way we was texting yesterday and you didn’t even say nothing about this lol @KingHenry_2 https://t.co/NgQzCeJ6g9

Former Ravens receiver Torrey Smith believes the Baltimore wide receivers may benefit from the Henry signing more than anyone else, as the stacked boxes they will face will give the offense plenty of 1-on-1 matchups.
My goodness Eric 😳

Ex-Ravens quarterback and Jackson backup Robert Griffin III said that Henry was "always meant to be a Raven" and believes that he could be a piece that takes the offense to the next level.
Derrick Henry was always meant to be a Raven. There is room for 2 Kings in B-More. https://t.co/zpgCwohvD9 pic.twitter.com/HOVJ6x1uLx

Rich Eisen came up with a perfect quote to sum up exactly what Henry and Jackson could do in the backfield together. Jackson's electric running can made opposing defenders "look dumb," while Henry running up the middle could "put you in the hospital." If that doesn't get you hyped, check your pulse.
The Rich Eisen Show with a FIRE line about Derrick Henry signing with the Ravens and pairing up with Lamar Jackson🔥🔥

Henry is a Raven, and that could have some serious consequences for the rest of the very deep AFC.
