10 matchup questions Baltimore Ravens must answer week 6 vs Tennessee Titans
5. Will Michael Pierce shut down the Tennessee Titans run game?
The Baltimore Ravens' run defense is one of the best in the NFL. Still, every run defense can be good until they face off against Derrick Henry. Henry has not had many breakout games, but we all know he gets going as the season goes on. More than that, Ravens fans know that they have to play extra attention to the big man.
Still, the Ravens have a big man of their own who has not been around in recent years. Michael Pierce went to Minnesota, sat out for COVID-19, and missed time in 2021 and 2022. However, he is fully healthy right now and playing some of the best football of his career. He is pushing people aside in the run game and clogging holes right up the middle.
The Titans' starting center, Aaron Brewer, is a weak link on the unit, but worse than that, he also is dealing with an injury and may not play in this game. Michael Pierce will have his way with any of the centers on the Titans roster. This will open things for Roquan Smith to have a big game. If Derrick Henry goes off, we will have to wonder what happened.
