The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a heartbreaking loss against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1 and it didn't take long at all for Nick Wright to rub it in their faces. The host of First Things First, who is also an extremely vocal Chiefs fan, immediately jumped to X to blast Lamar Jackson following the loss.

Wright starts the tweet with a compliment, noting that Jackson has won two MVP awards and said he's "a No doubt Hall of Famer". From there, things get less complimentary. Wright throws out Jackson's 4-12 record against Patrick Mahomes, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and in the playoffs.

Leave Lamar Jackson alone, please.

The game came down to literally a toe, as Jackson hit Isaiah Likely in the back of the end zone for what would have potentially been the game-winning touchdown depending on how the two-point conversion went. After further review, however, it was clear that Likely's toe was out of bounds and thus, any chance of winning the game on a two-point play was eliminated.

The criticism for Jackson following this game will likely surround him missing a wide-open Zay Flowers in the end zone that would have put the score at 27-26 Chiefs with Baltimore then likely going for two. Yes, Jackson missed that throw, but otherwise, he played a great game, putting up nearly 400 yards of offense all on his own. He rushed for 122 yards and was barreling through and around Chiefs defenders all night long.

Wright didn't just stop with insulting Jackson though, taking a shot at the entire Ravens team as well. He noted that the Ravens are 15-3 vs. everyone but the Chiefs but 0-2 against Kansas City.

Look, the Chiefs are a good team and Ravens fans knew this was going to be a dogfight when the match-up was announced back in May. There was a narrative that this might be a revenge game for the Ravens after KC ended their season earlier this year but Jackson nixed that.

Jackson made mistakes but at the end of the day, he was a huge reason for why the Ravens were even in that game in the first place. He put up nearly 100 more yards than Mahomes did and showed that he can lead his team down the field for important drives.

Jackson and the Ravens might have come up short this time but if these two teams meet up in the playoffs, here's to hoping the outcome will be different.
