Ominous Ravens injury report on Thanksgiving, including DPN for Zay Flowers

The Baltimore Ravens kicked off their practice week a day earlier than usual, hitting the field on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. This shift accommodated their Thanksgiving plans, anticipating a hearty feast on Thursday (they are pros, don't worry about filled bellies!).

However, as the team geared up for their Week 12 showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers, a rather concerning injury report was released on Turkey Day by the Flock.

That's correct: rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers, who had already been nursing a hip issue suffered on Wednesday's practice, was notably absent from Thursday's practice instead of recovering from his issue, raising questions about his availability for Sunday's game.

Flowers, limited in the previous day's session, was joined on the sidelines by tight end Mark Andrews (expected), as well as by inside linebacker Trenton Simpson. The latter's absence is rather curious, considering he cleared the protocol one day before but then popped up with a DNP 24 hours after that.

On a more positive note for the Ravens, wide receivers Rashod Bateman (foot) and Devin Duvernay (knee) progressed from limited to full participation after going down on Wednesday.

Odell Beckham Jr. returned to practice after missing Wednesday's session with a shoulder injury, though it's reasonable to consider he might have gotten a day off midweek.

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley has seemingly recovered from the knee injury that kept him out recently, also practicing fully on Thursday. Cornerback Arthur Maulet, who missed Wednesday's practice due to illness, was back in full swing with the rest of the group.

Marlon Humphrey, nursing a calf injury that caused him to miss the Ravens' last Thursday victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, was limited once more.

Cornerback Damarion "Pepe" Williams, who has yet to be activated and placed on the 53-man roster coming off IR, practiced fully for the second consecutive day.

Next. Joe Flacco "can still play" but the Browns might not let him. Joe Flacco "can still play" but the Browns might not let him. dark

As for the Chargers, tight end Nick Vannett (concussion) has not practiced all week. Tight end Gerald Everett (chest), wide receiver Jalen Guyton (groin), and safety JT Woods (illness) were limited. Wide receiver Keenan Allen (shoulder) left the injury report on Thursday.
