1. Are expectations too high for Tyler Linderbaum in yea two?

The Baltimore Ravens took the best center in the 2022 NFL draft when they drafted Tyler Linderbaum. His rookie season probably met expectations, but that is because there were always some questions about his game. Still, many fans are expecting an All-Pro type of breakout in year two, and that may not be the case yet.

Linderbaum is a great run blocker, and that should always be something he is good at with his movement skills. However, he was often bulldozed as a pass protector. At center, you are going to see the nose tackles, which means the largest humans on the field.

It is at least a little worrying that the Baltimore Ravens center's biggest weakness happens to be an area he will be tested in often. His size was a question before the draft, and it may always limit the ceiling.

So, Linderbaum may end up being good and just fine next season. He may not be the reason the Ravens do not take that step. However, he is unlikely to hit that All-Pro ceiling, at least not next year. He will probably still struggle in moments, and the hope is that we see growth, and not necessarily a leap, which is what too many are already expecting.
