The Baltimore Ravens are coming off of a tough loss, but they still sit at 3-2, and it is easy to see them making a run to the playoffs with just a few small tweaks. So, while there are some lows, there have been plenty of highs and excitement from this season. Who are the biggest pleasant surprises?

5. Zay Flowers in on pace for 1,000 yards for the Baltimore Ravens

He is their first-round pick, so they were expecting big things, but Zay Flowers has been everything as advertised for the Baltimore Ravens. Flowers has 29 catches for 317 yards so far this season. This has him on pace for over 1,000 yards, which would be excellent. Even if he hit a wall, we wrote that 700 yards for a rookie wideout is typically a strong indicator that the player will have success down the line, and Flowers is well on his way to that mark.

What has been impressive with Flowers is that the rest of his pass-catching core has been questionable. Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham have already missed time, and neither has emerged yet this year. Mark Andrews missed week one as well. Flowers has kept producing.

More than that, he has started to be used as a gadget player near the line, but in the more recent weeks, Flowers had bigger catches and opportunities down the field. He is playing in all areas and has been producing in them as well. It has been an impressive start to his career.
