As the Baltimore Ravens prepare for the Arizona Cardinals, they are also preparing to get their team ready for the trade deadline. They are big favorites this week and have a chance to get to 6-2, which would certainly have them in contention down the home stretch. What positions could the Ravens add that would improve their roster in the next couple of weeks?

3. The Baltimore Ravens need a running back

If there is one position the Ravens need to trade for, it would be running back. More than that, if there is any position the team likely will trade for, it is running back. There are plenty of running backs available at this point, and the price to acquire running backs is lower than ever, making it possible for the Ravens.

Everyone will talk about Austin Ekeler, Derrick Henry, and Saquon Barkley, but Zach Moss, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Elijah Mitchell are also names who could be added to the mix.

As the Ravens stand, they will use a combination of Justice Hill and Gus Edwards at running back. Edwards is the power back who gets downhill, while Hill is the speed back. Edwards has been fine, but injuries and fumbles have made the team lose trust in Justice Hill.

The Ravens wanted to see Keaton Mitchell step into the role, but he has not been able to stay healthy. Mitchell just came off of the IR, got one touch against the Lions, and ended up with a hamstring injury. The team clearly does not trust Melvin Gordon or Kenyan Drake. Hill can only last so long, and with Mitchell sidelined they have to find depth. They can keep signing guys off of the street or they can add someone who is game-ready via trade.
