6. Is Patrick Mekari the most underrated Baltimore Ravens player?

Patrick Mekari will not win an award for his play in 2023, and it will lead to a decent contract, but nothing close to making him the highest-paid player or even one of the 15 highest. Still, his play this season has been as valuable as anyone, and that is what makes him the most underrated player on the roster.

Injuries to Ronnie Stanley and Morgan Moses have had him shifting back and forth between right and left tackle. Mekari played 283 snaps at left tackle and 187 snaps as a right tackle this year.

In weeks two, three and four, he started at left tackle. In week five, he was back to right tackle. In week nine and ten, he came in at right tackle, then shifted to the left side for week 11. With Stanley having an ankle injury, he may be in at left tackle for a few more weeks.

All of the while, he has held things down, and the Ravens moved to 8-3. Mekari had to face Myles Garrett at left tackle in week four and then TJ Watt as a right tackle in week five. In week 10, he faced Za’Darius Smith as a right tackle, and in week 11, it was Trey Hendrickson as a left tackle. Being able to flip sides in a week and take on elite rushers is as impressive as it gets.
