9. Will Josh Ross pick up where he left off with Baltimore Ravens?

When we last saw Josh Ross, he was a special teams asset and was getting chances to get on the field on defense. He was the backup as the playcaller in the middle of the defense, mainly because he had familiarity with defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald going back to Michigan.

However, a foot injury ended his rookie season before he was able to get off the ground. Still, for a rookie UDFA, most would say his rookie year was still a success. The issue is that nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, and Ross has to start back at the bottom.

Since he was injured the Ravens traded for Roquan Smith and drafted Trenton Simpson. That is a change of pace on the depth chart. So, Ross went from vying to start to hoping he can stick around on the back end of the roster. Tough break.

Still, it all starts this weekend. Ross has to show he still knows the defense as well as anyone, but more than that, he will get chances on special teams. Can he take advantage?
