3. Is Sam Mustipher locking down the backup center job for the Baltimore Ravens?

Speaking of a player who struggled for the Chicago Bears last season, we now have Sam Mustipher fighting for his roster life. The reality is that Mustipher should be the backup center. It is hard to find anyone else to hold that role. However, Patrick Mekari could be the backup center if needed, and the team has a lot of depth as well.

With the starting five, plus Mekari, Daniel Faalele, Ben Cleveland, and John Simpson, the team already has nine players locked in. Considering Simpson and Cleveland may start at some point this year, they are ahead of Mustipher.

So, just like Angelo Blackson, Mustipher is battling the numbers and other positions as much as he is battling for the backup center job. Can he play well enough that another team would scoop him up off the practice squad, or does he give the Ravens the fact that he is not going anywhere if they cut him? The determination of that will start this weekend.
