5. Jalyn Armour-Davis returned just in time for the Baltimore Ravens

Jalyn Armour-Davis returned to the Baltimore Ravens lineup just at the right time, as the team almost had no choice but to release him. Armour-Davis did not play in the preseason as a rookie and missed the first two games with an injury in year two.

When you combine his injuries with his poor play, the former fourth-round pick was close to not being trusted on the roster. Even now he is still on the bubble as the Ravens have key decisions to make in the next 24 hours. Did Jalyn Armour-Davis do enough in the 45 preseason snaps he played to show he belongs?

Of those, there were 27 snaps in coverage. One key issue was that he missed two tackles and allowed 21 yards after the catch. He only allowed 39 yards in total, so there was a serious issue in limiting those plays.

When you look at the Ravens roster, they have Ronald Darby, Rock Ya-Sin, Marlon Humphrey, Ar'Darius Washington, and Brandon Stephens as the top five cornerbacks. There is not a strong chance that seven cornerbacks will make it, so there is only one spot for Jalyn Armour-Davis to win.

The issue is that we already highlighted Kevon Seymour and Kyu Blu Kelly as bubble players, and Arthur Maulet and Pepe Williams are not listed because of their injury questions. Nobody is a lock for that sixth cornerback spot yet. For now, we have Jalyn Armour-Davis in front of Kelly, and Seymour, but that is too close to call.
