The Baltimore Ravens are tied with the Miami Dolphins for the best record in the AFC (9-3), but the oddsmakers still don’t believe they can win the No. 1 seed.

The Ravens currently have the third-best odds of winning the No. 1 seed (+275) behind the likes of the Jacksonville Jaguars (+260) and Dolphins (+170), per DraftKings Sportsbook. The Jags’ odds for the top seed could shorten depending on what happens tonight against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It’s shocking to see the Ravens with the third-best odds as they have the same amount of conference wins (6) as the Chiefs and Jaguars. However, Miami owns the tiebreaker over Baltimore due to the best win percentage in conference games.

Baltimore has played outstanding football on both sides of the football this season. They have the seventh-best scoring offense in the NFL (27 points per game) and best scoring defense this season (15.6 points per game allowed).

The Ravens also have a former league MVP in Lamar Jackson, who is playing fantastic football under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Jackson is completing a career-best 68.3% of his passes for 2,618 yards, 13 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also has 574 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

Baltimore will have a chance to take the No. 1 seed from Miami as they are scheduled to play them in Week 17. However, before they get to that highly anticipated matchup, the Ravens will play the Rams, Jaguars, and 49ers over the next three weeks. Baltimore could afford a loss to the 49ers, but that depends on if they take care of business against the Rams and Jaguars.

Baltimore Ravens Odds to Win AFC

Meanwhile, the Dolphins have a somewhat easy schedule over the next two weeks against the Titans and Jets. However, Miami will also play the Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills to finish the regular season.

If you are a Ravens fan or bettor thinking about laying the +275 odds, it wouldn’t be a bad play, especially if Baltimore wins their next two games against Los Angeles and Jacksonville.
