Former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones passed away earlier this year in July. It was an incredibly sad day for Ravens fans when the news broke.

Jones was a beloved member of Flock Nation and is remembered for his incredible record-setting 108-yard kick return touchdown in Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers. It was electric. The return was so cool and at the time, it practically assured the Ravens the win. Breaking records isn’t an everyday feat, especially on the world’s biggest stage. It was a truly remarkable moment.

Jones didn’t need to do much else over the course of his career to cement his legacy as an all-time great Raven; he’d done that with a Super Bowl ring. His impact was far-reaching. So much so that before the Ravens vs. Las Vegas Raiders game this afternoon, the Ravens organization honored number 12 in a heartfelt and moving way.

Before today’s Week 2 matchup against the Raiders, M&T Bank Stadium honored Jones with an emotional pregame tribute that featured his mother and son on the field. They blew kisses to the fans from the field while holding back tears as best they could in a sad and emotional moment.

The reaction from the Baltimore faithful was incredible. Despite the somber reason for the tribute, the fans showed up for the grieving family members with the best support possible - a standing ovation and unwavering support.

Jones is clearly more than just a former player. He was audibly adored by Ravens fans which was further evidenced by their reaction to the tribute.

However, Ravens fans weren't the only ones who helped with this amazing tribute. Former Ravens players also showed their support and condolences as they suited up in Jones' no. 12 jerseys and took the field to hug his mother.

Jacoby Jones played for the Ravens for three seasons, catching 76 passes for 992 yards and three touchdowns. His time with the team might have been brief, but his legacy is everlasting.
