The Baltimore Ravens' bill of health isn't entirely clean entering Week 16 but it's as good as you can expect this deep into the season and ahead of the Christmas Day matchup against the NFC-leading San Francisco 49ers.
After holding a second training day Thursday practice session at The Castle in Owings Mills, the Ravens only listed two players as absent with a few others limited in practice.
Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. missed his second consecutive practice day this week with an illness. Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis, dealing with concussion symptoms, was the only other player absent on Thursday. Both players will have an extra day to recover from their issues as the Flock won't play till Monday night.
On a positive note, wide receiver Zay Flowers, right tackle Morgan Moses, and cornerback Ronald Darby resumed practice after missing Wednesday's session.
Flowers, who has been dealing with a foot issue, was limited in his participation after missing Wednesday's session and sporting a walking boot. Head coach John Harbaugh expressed no major concerns regarding his condition on Wednesday, and that was confirmed with his participation (albeit limited) on Thursday.
Left tackle Ronnie Stanley, safety Marcus Williams, and cornerback Arthur Maulet were also limited in practice. Stanley, who is trying to return in time from the concussion he suffered last Sunday, participated was given a non-contact jersey on Thursday to avoid any setback.
Williams, who suffered a minor groin injury in the win over Jacksonville last week is being monitored on a day-to-day basis, Harbaugh said post-game.
Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken offered some information about Moses and Stanley following Thursday's practice. “Morgan and Ronnie have battled through a lot of bumps and bruises and nicks here and there, and they’ve fought through it,” Monken said.
Rookie outside linebacker Malik Hamm, returning from injured reserve, participated fully in practice and could appear in Monday's game if the Flock feels the need.
The San Francisco 49ers are a bit more banged up entering this Super Bowl Lite game against the Ravens. Defensive tackles Arik Armstead (knee), Javon Hargrave (hamstring), and linebacker Oren Burks (knee), did not practice on Thursday.
Defensive end Nick Bosa and left tackle Trent Williams were given a day of rest. Both are surely going to be ready to go on Monday, though.
