The Baltimore Ravens completed a couple of transactions on Thursday leading up to their Week 14 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 10.

The Flock welcomed back a former member of the organization at wide receiver while releasing a defensive back a few days before said matchup, both moves linked with the franchise's practice squad. Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic had the scoop.

As reported by Zrebiec after Thursday's practice, Baltimore signed wide receiver Tarik Black to the Ravens' practice squad while releasing defensive back Jeremy Lucien in order to make room for the offensive playmaker in the reserve roster.

Black, 25, went undrafted coming out of Texas in 2021. He inked a UDFA rookie contract with the Indianapolis Colts and he later became a member of the New York Jets' practice squad when the Jersey side signed him to a futures contract for 2022.

The undrafted wideout has been released and resigned multiple times throughout his brief professional career, ultimately landing with Baltimore last year. He couldn't hold a roster spot by the end of August, however, and he was released by the Ravens.

Before making those two transactions on Thursday, the Ravens kicked the week off by designating Malik Hamm for return from Injured Reserve. They had already done the same with Damarion "Pepe" Williams, both players now into the 21-day windows in which they need to be moved to the active roster or lost for the remainder of the season.

Williams, previously designated for return on Nov. 21, needs to be activated for this weekend's game if Baltimore wants to have him available later this season, or by the middle of next week at the latest.

Hamm, an undrafted rookie linebacker, was designed for return on Monday. With only five regular-season games remaining, and just two scheduled after Christmas (Hamm's activation deadline) the Ravens face a decision: activate Hamm now with the implications of that for the 53-man roster, or delay that transaction until the end of the three-week window.
