(Kid) SAM Linebacker: Malik Hamm

The linebacker unit of the Ravens is one of the slimmest in the whole roster. That's why Baltimore was forced into signing EDGE Jadeveon Clowney, and why they explored other free-agent alternatives such as Kyle Van Noy.

With Tyus Bowser out injured and sitting in the PUP list for the whole summer, odds are he gets into the regular season still there and is forced to miss the first four games.

Malik Hamm can still make the roster and get a nice rotation/backup role in the SAM position with a nice Saturday in Tampa Bay.

Hamm, a rookie UDFA, doesn't have the profile nor the pedigree of other members of the Ravens roster right now, but keeping him around could prove vital for the future of Baltimore's defense and his mid-summer performances have looked good enough.
