Unfortunately for the Baltimore Ravens family and the football world, former quarterback Ryan Mallett was in a drowning accident on Tuesday and passed away at the young age of 35 years old. After his NFL career which spanned from 2012-2017, he went back to his roots in Arkansas and was the head coach of White Hall High School's football team.
It's such a shame and a tragic loss to the football community as many of Mallett's former teammates took to Twitter to send their condolences and shared their thoughts on the impact he's had on many lives. Mallett was an extremely successful college quarterback at Michigan and Arkansas and during his tenure in the NFL, left a positive imprint on many of his teammates.
His teammates spoke highly of his character, integrity, and always being overly prepared every time his number was called. Even though he only played in eight games for the Ravens, his teammates fondly remember him and his determination. In his tenure with the Ravens, Mallett passed for 648 passing yards, had a completion percentage of 58.8, and threw for four touchdowns.
