2. Tavius Robinson broke out for Ole Miss in 2022

Considering his path to the NFL it is understandable that he is a late bloomer. Still, Tavius Robinson bloomed at the right time and was playing his best football when he left Mississippi. He went from 28 pressures in his first two seasons to 40 pressures in his final season.

However, when you break it down, his 2021 season being so good is also what led to him playing more. Going from 200 pass rush attempts to 372 is a good way to see your total pressures boost.

In fact, in 2021, he had a pass rush win rate of 23.5%, and then last season it was 15.3%. That is still very good, but it does show that he was winning in 2021, and was not getting the results. In 2022, he was playing more due to the great season prior, and all of the sudden the numbers came.

Robinson also went from 11 run stops in 2021 to 18 in 2022, but he went from 149 snaps to 316. His run-stop rate actually dropped from 4.8% to 2.9%. Still, that is better than 1.3% in 2020 when he first go to Ole Miss.

Beyond that, Robinson went from an 18.2% missed tackle rate in 2020 down to 12.5%, and then 3.3%. That may be the most impressive. He was playing more, which makes sense that he would win a bit less often. However, he also was not losing and missing tackles, which has to show he can at least hang in run defense.
