The 2023 NFL Draft is just a couple of days away and it’s an opportunity for the Baltimore Ravens to drastically improve their team. After an injury-filled 10-7 season, Baltimore will be looking to fill holes throughout the roster and add depth in some key areas. With five total picks throughout the seven rounds, the Ravens will need to make the most of each selection.

It has been a rather dramatic offseason for Baltimore with the Lamar Jackson saga, but thanks to the signing of Odell Beckham Jr., things have started to look up recently. Now, general manager Eric DeCosta will prepare for his fifth NFL draft since taking over as general manager.

With only five picks, but several different needs, the draft could go a number of ways for the Ravens. Let’s take a look at five bold predictions for how the draft will play out for Baltimore.

5. Ravens will finish the draft with more than five picks

Baltimore is entering the draft with five picks, but the team will likely finish the three-day event with more than five selections. Expect Eric DeCosta to be active in moving around the draft board so that the Ravens will be able to make more than five selections in the 2023 NFL Draft.

In his time as general manager, DeCosta has shown that he’s not afraid to trade assets to acquire more draft picks. DeCosta will move players and picks if it means getting more picks and a great value. Just last year, the Ravens traded Hollywood Brown during the draft, then traded back to pick up a fourth-round pick.

In 2021, just a few days before the draft, Baltimore traded Orlando Brown Jr. to Kansas City Chiefs for a ton of picks. There have also been many other trades in recent history involving draft picks. This draft should be no different. The Ravens may not be moving players as big as the two Browns, but expect the team to find a way to acquire more picks.
