1. Two underrated running backs could be Baltimore Ravens adds at the trade deadline

The Baltimore Ravens should add a running back. However, while everyone wants to see Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, Austin Ekeler, or Derrick Henry, those are messy and complicated trades that may not work out. There are a few lower-cost trades that could help the team in the same regard. The Ravens need to add some speed to match the power of Gus Edwards and to replace the loss of J.K. Dobbins.

Elijah Mitchell could be a good fit. He had 1,132 yards in 2021 and then just 332 in 2022. This year, he is the 49ers third running back behind Jordan Mason and Christian McCaffrey. Mitchell had 14 carries in week three and then seven carries in the three games following that. Still, he brings the element of speed the Ravens need. His lack of usage with the 49ers will make him cheap, but only being in his third NFL season means the Ravens get him this year and next year. It could be worth a call.

Another to listen for is Antonio Gibson. Gibson is a passing down back who has never been used properly with the Washington Commanders. It feels like the coaching staff and front office have soured on him, but his speed and pass-catching ability would be perfect with the Ravens. Keep an eye out for him.
