3 ways Miami Dolphins will test Baltimore Ravens more than San Francisco 49ers
2. The Miami Dolphins cornerbacks will test the Baltimore Ravens
One area where the San Francisco 49ers struggle is their secondary. They have some key injuries and are starting rookie Ja’yir Brown at safety. More than that, they have shuffled their outside cornerback across from Chavarius Ward, and their slot cornerback has been in and out of the lineup.
The Miami Dolphins do not have these questions. They come into the game with Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard, and both are currently healthy. That has a chance to be the best duo in the NFL. That is a big step up from Ambry Thomas and Ward. Even in the slot, Kader Kohu is a better option than Deommodore Lenoir.
The Baltimore Ravens live with their run game, but they had timely passing from Lamar Jackson against the 49ers. Zay Flowers was targeted at will and tied his career-high with nine catches. This week, the Dolphins may follow Flowers with Jalen Ramsey and Odell Beckham with Xavein Howard and see if anyone else can win.
This could be a huge game for Isaiah Likely or some of the secondary wide receivers to step up. This will not be the same as San Francisco.
