When is the Baltimore Ravens' bye week in 2023?
By Ryan Heckman
The Baltimore Ravens are getting set for the 2023 NFL season, and that means fans are getting anxious.
With the notable segments of the offseason in the rear view, such as free agency and the draft, we turn our attention to training camp and the schedule ahead.
Speaking of schedule, the entire 2023 NFL schedule is officially available for those who have not seen yet. At the moment, the Ravens' over/under has been set at 9.5, and of course we think they are going to hit the over.
Within that schedule, the Ravens have somewhat of a later bye week. Let's take a look at where it's at, plus what games and implications might be sandwiched around that week.
The Baltimore Ravens' 2023 bye week is in Week 13
Baltimore's bye week doesn't come until the week of December 3 this year, which sits at Week 13. Coming back from the bye week, the Ravens will have just five games left to get themselves into prime playoff positioning.
Just before their Week 13 bye, Baltimore will be coming off a Week 12 road game against Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers, and prior to that, a Week 11 home tilt with Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Those two games could be do-or-die for the Ravens' mentality heading into their bye week, and both could be difficult tests. It's probably safe to say the Ravens would need to go at least 1-1 to feel good heading into their bye week.
Following the Week 13 bye, Baltimore will take on the Los Angeles Rams at home, which may or may not be a difficult game. A lot of that matchup will depend on whether or not Matthew Stafford is still under center, if he's healthy.
From there, in Week 15, the Ravens face a tough Jacksonville Jaguars team on the road, before heading to San Francisco in Week 16. So, they'll have a couple of tough games shortly after their bye week after having some difficult matchups prior to their break.
Where will Baltimore be come that time? Hopefully, in playoff positioning. That's going to be a crucial part in their schedule, where wins will especially come at a premium.
