The Baltimore Ravens had the pleasure of ending the Pittsburgh Steelers' season over the weekend and that never gets old to think about. While the Ravens will be advancing to the divisional round of the playoffs, the Steelers' playoff loss streak continued and the doubt surrounding Mike Tomlin's future in Pittsburgh is music to Ravens fans' ears.
During the Steelers' eventual 28-14 loss to the Ravens, the Hard Knocks cameras captured a moment between Steelers running back Najee Harris and tight end Pat Freiermuth that will have Ravens fans cackling with laughter.
"Been through a lot," Freiermuth says, as Harris, who is set to be a free agent, hangs his head. "Wish it could've been different."
Ravens' beatdown over Steelers caused a sad exchange between Harris and Freiermuth
The Ravens soared to a 21-0 lead heading into the locker room at half time and while the Steelers would add a pair of touchdowns to tighten the game a bit, Baltimore won the game convincingly. Harris had just 17 rushing yards in the defeat while Freiermuth had 15 receiving yards.
As mentioned above, Harris will be a free agent this year due to the Steelers not exercising his fifth-year option. Given how well the top-paid running backs have fared in the 2024 season, it wouldn't be crazy to see the Steelers bring him back but Ravens fans hope they let him leave and struggle to find a replacement.
More Ravens news:
It's always fun winning in the playoffs and getting the chance to end another team's season but for the Ravens to be able to do so against a hated division rival made last weekend's win even sweeter. Seeing clips like these adds to the entertainment, as the Steelers once were vying for the division title and then ended up losing five straight games (two of those coming against Baltimore).
Hopefully, the Ravens can continue to pour salt in the wound by making their way through the playoffs and reaching the Super Bowl.
