Oh please let this happen.

The Baltimore Ravens are set at quarterback for the foreseeable future but that's not the case for their division rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since Ben Roethlisberger retired following the 2021 season, the Steelers have struggled to find their next franchise quarterback.

Well, former NFL defensive lineman Gerald McCoy gave his two cents on who the Steelers should bring in as their next starting quarterback for the 2025 season. It's quite a comical idea for Ravens fans.

"Where I would like to see Aaron Rodgers go is to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and let me tell you why. Players sometimes transcend coaching. Aaron Rodgers' goal is so high value of a player with what he's done in the league. He transcends coaching so he has to go somewhere where he can't transcend the coach. What better place than Mike Tomlin, who will be unimpressed with Aaron Rodgers."

Ravens fans would love for a washed-up Aaron Rodgers to join the Steelers

After Roethlisberger retired, the Steelers drafted Kenny Pickett in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft but it was clear early on that he wasn't going to be the answer in Pittsburgh. Mitchell Trubisky also wasn't the answer nor was Mason Rudolph.

This year has consisted of the Steelers trying out both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson at quarterback and while Pittsburgh is at the top of the AFC North, it's been their defense that has gotten them there. They'll be searching for a quarterback once again when the season comes to an end.

If Rodgers were to join the Steelers, it'd likely be a hilarious disaster and Ravens fans would enjoy watching that play out. Before Rodgers joined the New York Jets in 2023, everyone said that the Jets were "just a quarterback away" from competing but Rodgers was hurt during his first year in New York and then has been bad in his second year.

If the Steelers decided to give Rodgers a chance and he continued to play as poorly as he has in a Jets uniform, that'd be absolute gold for Ravens fans. Rodgers is nothing but drama so if a team in the Ravens' division (especially their biggest rival) willingly wants to bring in a dramatic quarterback for the 2025 season, by all means, let them.
