Baltimore Ravens fans had to be estatic when they opened up social media and saw the news that Myles Garrett would no longer be terrorizing their team twice a year. Ian Rapoport reported that the Cleveland Browns were trading Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams for Jared Verse, a first-round pick, and more.

This is excellent news for Ravens fans, as Garrett is a two-time Defensive Player of the Year receipient and has had just one non-double-digit sack season (and that was during his rookie year). The former number one overall pick by the Browns in 2017 has constantly been a thorn in Baltimore's side and now, he's another division's problem to deal with.

Ravens fans will no longer have to deal with Myles Garrett

With this trade, the Browns no longer have a top-tier defensive talent in Garrett, which is great news for Baltimore. It will, however, give the Browns a chance to stockpile picks and potentially build toward a brighter future. They're also expected to get Jared Verse in the deal, who is a promising young defensive pass-rusher so it's not like the Ravens are totally in the clear.

Still, Verse is nowhere close to being on Garrett's level so having that kind of talent out of the AFC North is music to Ravens fans' ears. Hopefully, this completely backfires on the Browns and they whiff on their draft picks acquired in the deal and Verse isn't the same player that he's been with the Rams.

Knowing the Browns, they'll find a way to botch this. That's the hope for Ravens fans. For now, however, just having Garrett out of the division is a huge win for this team. He's been terrorizing Lamar Jackson and the Ravens for nearly a decade now so it's great news that he'll be someone else's problem moving forward.
