When the Baltimore Ravens kick off their 2025 season on Sunday night against the Buffalo Bills, they will do so as one of the best teams in the league. Entering this season, just about everyone agrees that Baltimore and the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles are the two most talented teams in the NFL. From top to bottom, the Ravens don’t have many concerns about their lineup.

However, even elite teams have a few question marks, and Baltimore is no different. Despite being one of the most complete contenders, the Ravens have some concerns that could lower their ceiling. One of those concerns is at the right guard spot.

With turnover on the interior of the offensive line, analysts have questioned if the change up front will affect Baltimore in 2025. At the center of those concerns have been veteran guard Daniel Faalele.

Ravens guard Daniel Faalele will start the 2025 season already under pressure

While Faalele is the guard who’s actually the returning starter, he’s also the one who fans seem to be worried about the most. Despite starting all 17 games last season, he didn’t put together the kind of year that left fans confident in his ability. Unfortunately, some low moments in the preseason only added question marks to the equation.

Offensive coordinator Todd Monken came to the defense of Faalele during the preseason, arguing that a social media clip displaying one of Faalele‘s low moment was creating an unfair narrative. The offensive coordinator argued that the guard is a really good player and had an outstanding training camp. The team expects that to continue into the regular season.

Hopefully Monken is right, because Baltimore needs Faalele to be good. While the Ravens have a loaded roster, it’s hard to do anything with a bad offensive line. That’s why Daniel Faalele will have a lot of eyes on him when the season kicks off.
