The season is here for the 2025 Baltimore Ravens as the team travels to Buffalo for their Week 1 matchup with the Buffalo Bills. It's a new year and a fresh start for everybody in Baltimore, including players looking for bounce-back seasons or players looking to build off the previous season.

Baltimore has an outstanding roster, but that doesn't mean there aren't players looking to prove themselves in 2025. These are two players who are looking to get off to strong starts in 2025.

Two Ravens Who Must Start Hot

Daniel Faalele

It's been an interesting journey for the young Daniel Faalele. Baltimore drafted the 6-foot-8-inch, 380-pound Faalele out of the University of Minnesota in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. His size and potential could really help Baltimore's offensive line, and that's what general manager Eric DeCosta saw when he drafted him.

Faalele sat on the bench for the first two years of his career but got the chance to start in 2024 after Kevin Zeitler left in free agency, as the Minnesota Gopher was slotted in at guard.

2024 was an inconsistent first year starting. He started slow and was the one player on an otherwise strong offensive line that struggled. Some felt Baltimore should bench him in favor of Ben Cleveland. However, Faalele played much better as the season went along, including a fine performance in the playoffs. In 2025, Faalele can solidify his spot on the offensive line with a strong start to the season, especially since the other guard position with Andrew Vorhees is also a question mark.

Tyler Loop

Yes, Tyler Loop is a rookie, but there is a lot of pressure on the young kicker after the Ravens drafted him in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He's the first kicker ever drafted by Baltimore. Loop succeeds Justin Tucker, arguably the greatest kicker in NFL history, after Baltimore released Tucker due to off-the-field issues.

Tucker had his struggles last season, so Baltimore is hoping that Loop can provide more than what Tucker gave in 2024. It's still big shoes to fill for the rookie with such a dominant history at the position. Loop has to come out and impress early on in the season. The 24-year-old was inconsistent in OTAs and mini-camp, but had an impressive training camp and preseason to notch the kicker job.

If Loop and Faalele can begin the season on a good note, that could go a long way in helping the Ravens get off to a promising start in the 2025 NFL season.
