Is anyone else not worried when Tyler Loop takes the field now? Following their Week 5 win, it feels like the Baltimore Ravens’ kicker is as trustworthy as can be.

Loop finished the night 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, nailing kicks from 21 yards and two from 51 yards. This season, he’s 9-for-11 on field goal attempts and a perfect 15-for-15 on extra points.

Last year and this preseason, fans had a severe lack of confidence in Loop. The inconsistency in high-pressure moments and issues from distance were clear as day. Five weeks into the 2026 campaign, though, Ravens fans aren’t holding their breath anymore. Loop is knocking kicks through with authority.

Tyler Loop is giving the Baltimore Ravens all the confidence in the world

There isn’t a kick Tyler Loop hasn’t been able to make this year. Excluding two misses that were somewhat out of Loop’s control, he’s been outstanding.

It’s great having a leg you can trust — it paid off against the Atlanta Falcons.

In the first half on Sunday Night Football, the Ravens couldn’t find the end zone for the life of them. Their opening drive stalled inside the 5-yard line, and two others saw the offense march into Atlanta territory, but self-inflicted errors brought Loop onto the field. The Arizona product held up his end of the bargain, though, and kept Baltimore within striking distance.

Ultimately, those efforts were just enough to help force overtime and eventually take home the W.

However, Loop’s biggest development is undoubtedly his accuracy from 50+ yards away. In his rookie campaign, he was shaky from that distance, and even failed to reach the goalposts at times. This year, he’s a completely different person.

Loop is 5-for-5 from 50+ in 2026. That includes two makes from 51, one from 56, another from 57, and an absolutely booming boot from 64 yards away. He's making distance look like his biggest strength.

That 64-yarder is the longest of his career, the longest in the NFL this season, and the longest in the history of M&T Bank Stadium.

Loop is simply operating at a different level right now. Sure, an 81.8% field goal rate seems lackluster, but those only two misses came on a blocked kick and a questionable hold. As long as the rest of the field-goal unit does its part, Loop is ready to kick that football through the uprights.

He’s in the sort of rhythm right now that’s giving coaches, teammates, and fans every ounce of faith in him when he steps up to kick.

It’s only been five games so far, so Loop still has to prove himself. But with the way he’s playing, you'd best believe three points are coming off his right foot.
