In a move that is slightly less funnier than a masked man stealing hamburgers from hungry McDonald’s patrons, a Baltimore man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for for burglary and handgun possession charges, with one scenario involving the theft of five Baltimore Ravens tickets.
Lassiter was arrested on Nov. 9, two days after a house in the 5300 block of Grindon Ave. was burglarized. A resident told police he returned home around 5 p.m., found the back window and door open and five Baltimore Ravens tickets worth $100 missing.…Police said the suspect consented to having his backpack [...]
Matt Ryan, former standout QB for Boston College and potential offensive breath of life for the Baltimore Ravens worked out yesterday afternoon for pro scouts. The report? Not too shabby.
Ryan had no problems on accuracy, mobility in the pocket and throws out of the three, five and seven step drops. The only problem? It was the same kind of workout that Kyle Boller put down before Draft Day 2003.
Most scouts and pundits have Ryan shooting his way up the draft chart and out of the Ravens’ grasp. It might be just as well, because if there has ever been a [...]
Ravens Sign CB Frank Walker
Alright! Now that we have that gaping special teams hole filled with Brendan Ayanbadejo, the Baltimore Ravens can get down to the business of signing some needed free agents, like the questionable depth at cornerback. To meet this need, the squad has signed former Green Bay Packers corner Frank Walker to a two-year deal.
Who?
You know, Frank Walker. The guy who appeared in 12 games with the Pack last year as the team’s sixth corner? Yeah, we don’t know him either. The good news is that he’s young, (26 years old) and capable (five interceptions and nine starts in 53 career [...]
Baltimore Ravens Wallpaper
While it wasn’t exactly a splash, the Baltimore Ravens jumped in the free agency pool today with the signing of Pro Bowl special teams player Brendon Ayanbadejo. He will sign a four-year contract with the team next week, valued at $4.9 million.
The team anticipates that Ayanbadejo will have a significant impact on special teams coverage, and may be a reserve inside linebacker. He made the Pro Bowl twice as a member of the Chicago Bears.
Great, now about that cornerback you’ve been looking for…
As posted here a couple of weeks ago, Terrell Suggs was franchised by the Baltimore Ravens as a linebacker, netting him a one year salary of $8.065 million for the upcoming season. Now, T-Sizzle is trying to get the Ravens out of cooking the books on his franchise tag, and has filed a grievance against the team to be designated as a defensive end and receive an additional $814,000 more for the year.
It’s only right that they go through this process to get him money he really deserves. You understand the team’s perspective in managing salaries to create the most [...]

Interesting post today from Baltimore Sun blogger Bill Ordine. He poses an interesting take on how Asante Samuels’ signing with the Philadelphia Eagles may directly benefit the Baltimore Ravens in their search for a cornerback.
You probably see where this is going. Something may have to give in Philly unless they see themselves through to keeping three frontline corners while they have a pressing need at wide receiver and defensive end. And here in Baltimore, both the Ravens’ starting cornerbacks will be over 30 this season and they both missed considerable time last year with disastrous consequences. And, of course, the [...]
While the Ravens may not be activily involved in free agency as cap room is limited, the transactions of the past few days will still effect our draft status in a big way. Each transaction suggests that the Raven’s chances of landing the top QB in the draft are becoming more and more likely.
The main competition to take Mike Mayock’s number one ranked prospect overall and consensus number one quarterback Matt Ryan are the Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons. However Dolphin’s Executive VP Bill Parcells isn’t exactly known for taking chances on signal callers early in the draft, and just landed [...]
