Several Ravens Make Top 100, Flacco’s Relationship With Kubiak
By Brett Foote
Welcome to lunchtime links, where we round up all of the latest Ravens news from around the web for your consumption. Today’s links include how several Ravens make top 100 players list, Joe Flacco’s relationship with Gary Kubiak, and thoughts on what the Ravens need from their 2013 draft class.
There are a host of Ravens present on NFL.com’s latest top 100 list, capped with Terrell Suggs coming in at number 26. The list also includes Haloti Ngata at 45, Marshal Yanda at 55, and Flacco at 58. You can also give feedback on the list by rating a player as overrated or underrated. Make sure you tell them how you really feel.
Sarah Ellison at the Raven’s official site brings us Joe Flacco opening up about his relationship with Gary Kubiak. Flacco admits that there are some big changes taking place with a new system and a new coaching staff, but he is pretty positive about the experience so far. It’s nice to see him embracing the changes and he seems to understand how they might benefit his game.

Flacco also has a seemingly motivated Jacoby Jones to throw to this year, who is aiming to be “one of the best receivers in the league” this season. Jones has been publicly giddy about the addition of Kubiak, who he also played for in Houston, even claiming that the new offensive coordinator might be his real father.
Another player looking to make a big impact this season is the newly healthy Marshal Yanda. Ryan Mink at the Raven’s official site even thinks that Yanda will be better than ever after returning from last year’s shoulder surgery. Yanda has been dominant when healthy in his career thus far and is a good bet to at least return to his former Pro Bowl level of play pretty quickly.
Finally, Jeff Zrebiec at the Baltimore Sun tells us that the Ravens need their 2013 draft class to make a big jump in 2014, and Tony Lombardi at Russell Street Report thinks that they will make their mark this season. There is no doubt that the Ravens are putting a ton of faith in Ricky Wagner. Outside of that, we have heard nothing but glowing reports about Arthur Brown, and the versatile role that Kyle Juszczyk is going to play in the offense.
Do you think the 2013 draft class will make the sophomore leap? Are the Ravens players underrated on the NFL’s top 100 list?
