The Las Vegas odds are in for week seven of the NFL season, and all outlets unanimously have the Baltimore Ravens favored over the Atlanta Falcons.  This isn’t really a huge surprise considering the Raven’s blowout win over the Bucs last week, combined with the Falcon’s woes on the road dating back to Matt Ryan’s rookie season in 2008.  What is a surprise if just how big of a margin Vegas is predicting.

The Ravens improved to 4-2 with the win last week and are second in the AFC North behind the Cincinnati Bengals.  Sunday’s home game against the Falcons is their last before the team begins a two week road divisional journey to take on the Bengals and Steelers.  Meanwhile, the Falcons are trying to keep their head above water at 2-4 as they currently sit in third place in the NFL South.  The one thing the Falcons have going for them is the poor start by both the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints this season.

The Falcons are still a dangerous team, of course.  They may have a sieve of a defense and a weak offensive line, but they do have one of the more potent passing attacks in the NFL.  This is a team that can score points in a hurry, and can potentially expose the Raven’s weak depth in the secondary if Ryan has enough time to throw.  Vegas, of course, doesn’t seem to think he will given the seven point advantage.

Here is the breakdown of how each Vegas outlet predicts the outcome of Sunday’s game.

It’s a pretty big margin of victory, indicating a lot of confidence that the Ravens can continue their hot offensive streak this week. The point spread is also one of the largest of all week seven games, and will probably prove to be accurate.  Both of these teams are quite capable of scoring points in a hurry, and this game should be no exception.
