Welcome to the Daily Caw, where we round up all the latest Baltimore Ravens news and notes from around the web.  Today we look ahead to some key offseason dates and some cuts that could create precious salary cap space, check out Terrence Cody’s indictment, and preview Ray Lewis’ TV show.

Cuts That Could Create Cap Space

The Ravens have at least a couple of moves they can make to create the cap space they need this offseason to sign rookies and (potentially) free agents.  Among them are Chris Canty and Jacoby Jones. Lardarius Webb could also get the axe, but his outright release is more unlikely due to the $10 million in dead space he would occupy in that instance.

Ray Lewis Talks Coaching Bad

Ray Lewis dished to Bleacher Report on his upcoming Spike TV show, Coaching Bad, where the passionate former linebacker attempts to help coaches with anger issues rehab their approach to the game.

Terrence Cody Facing Animal Cruelty Charges

Word came down a couple of weeks ago that the Ravens would cut ties with the 2010 second round pick as he faced pending animal cruelty charges.  Turns out there are a total of 15 charges being levied against Cody, including animal abuse and illegal possession of an alligator.  Yes, an alligator.

Ravens Key Offseason Dates

Among this month’s key dates are the first day teams are allowed to assign the franchise tag (February 16th), the Scouting Combine (17th-23rd), and the Regional Combine (28th).
