A Turnaround Season Would Not Be Shocking From A Team With A Proven History…

The Baltimore Ravens are one of the teams that many analysts and pundits could be the turn around team of 2016. It makes too much sense. The Ravens may have been 5-11 last season but they have a proven record of being a contender in the AFC. It should not surprise anybody if a team that won the Super Bowl in the 2012 season, that won a playoff game in six of the last eight seasons and has been to the AFC Championship 3 times in the last eight seasons, is a contender in the 2016 season.

The Ravens have a franchise quarterback. Joe Flacco gives the Ravens the chance to win every game. Even on his worst days (which can be hard to watch) he can get hot at any moment. Flacco elevated the Ravens in the Super Bowl run and he can do it again.

The Ravens also have a head coach who has not lost many games. Since Harbaugh took over for Brian Billick, he has a 77-49 record. He has won 10 playoff games. The Ravens have had double digit wins in five of his eight seasons. 2015 was the first time the Ravens had been under .500 in the Harbaugh era. There is a first time for everything, but that doesn’t mean there has to be a second.
