The Baltimore Ravens versus Detroit Lions Monday Night Football matchup is set to be full of fireworks. The two sides are each looking to earn their second wins of the season, as two of the best offenses are set to go at it.

Baltimore has been dealt their fair share of injuries to begin the 2025 campaign, but there are plenty of options ready to answer the call once the game kicks off. They carry one of the deepest rosters in the NFL and will play with a next-man-up mentality.

The game is set to be a slugfest on the offensive and defensive ends, and many under-the-radar players have the chance to break out. Here are two Ravens who are quietly primed to explode on Monday.

Tavius Robinson

The stage is set for Tavius Robinson to show people what he is truly made of. With outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy and defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike out against Detroit, Baltimore needs Robinson to break out. He is known to be a physically dominant run defender, clogging lanes and holding firm on the edge, but he will need to take significant strides as a pass rusher.

Outside of Madubuike’s two sacks, Robinson has the Ravens’ only other sack this season. He has three hurries through two games and has graded out as one of the better edge defenders, per Pro Football Focus (PFF). The 26-year-old has registered a 75.9 overall grade, including a 71.1 pass rush grade and 68.1 run defense grade.

Robinson could have trouble finding success against Detroit’s offensive tackle duo of Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker. However, he and the unit could feast on the young offensive guards of Tate Ratledge and Christian Mahogany.

LaJohntay Wester

Rookie wide receiver LaJohntay Wester was so close to breaking a punt return for a touchdown in the team’s Week 2 blowout win over the Cleveland Browns. He took it for 23 yards before getting tripped up at Cleveland’s 49-yard line. The Browns proceeded to put a focus on keeping the ball out of his hands for the rest of the game.

Wester returned a punt for a touchdown in his preseason debut against the Indianapolis Colts. It has only been two regular season games, but Wester is clearly becoming a respected returner. He was one of the most dangerous players in the open field during his college career, and those skills are translating to the NFL level.

Baltimore will not likely get many return opportunities. Not only do the Lions possess a high-powered offense that dropped 52 points against the Chicago Bears in Week 2, but Head Coach Dan Campbell is ultra-aggressive. He is known for going for it on fourth down, which should make every one of Wester’s opportunities on special teams that much more crucial.

It should be a tight battle, but if the Ravens see strong outings from Robinson and Wester, they will have a better chance at coming out on the winning end on Monday night.
