Embarrassing.

The Baltimore Ravens suffered an embarrassing 37-20 Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. They now drop to 1-3 on the season.

The story of the game was much of the same as what people have become accustomed to seeing from Baltimore in 2025. Poor blocking up front, a lack of pressure, and countless defensive miscues plagued the Ravens throughout the day. There were also way too many injuries to count for a Baltimore team that has already been derailed by injuries early in the season.

Overall, it was not pretty at all. Here are two winners and three losers from their Week 4 defeat.

2 winners (and 4 losers) from Ravens' Week 4 loss

Winner: Justice Hill

Running back Justice Hill was one of the only consistent sparks on the Ravens’ offense. He opened the day on a hot streak, scoring a touchdown on the team’s opening drive. While the early momentum did not last, Hill still had a strong game.

He caught five passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball three times for 76 yards and another touchdown, which included a 71-yard scamper for six in garbage time.

With Keaton Mitchell being a healthy scratch in each of Baltimore’s four games in 2025, many were questioning Hill’s impact, but he put those doubters to bed with an impressive performance on Sunday.

Loser: Defense (everything about it)

The defense was already brutal to watch. They were the worst defense in the NFL entering Week 4, and against the Chiefs, they put on another abysmal showing. The unit allowed 382 total yards and 37 points. The real story is their unfortunate injury luck.

Coming into the day, the defensive front was brutalized by injuries. Defensive linemen Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, and Broderick Washington were all out with injuries. Coming out of the day, several more starters were hampered by injuries. Marlon Humphrey, Roquan Smith, and Nate Wiggins all left the game and would not return.

The Ravens resorted to free agency and the practice squad for contributors against Kansas City, and depending on the severity of the latest injuries, they may need to continue to scrape the bottom of the barrel for potential starters.

Winner: Keyon Martin

Undrafted rookie cornerback Keyon Martin got in on a lot of the action in Week 4. Despite the endless struggles on defense, Martin had some encouraging moments. The young corner had lapses in coverage, and was really picked on at times, but made some impressive open-field tackles. For a defense that has been missing tackles like crazy recently, it was refreshing to see Martin bring down ball carriers.

Martin may be needed in a more substantial role moving forward. Wiggins was carted off the field with an elbow injury, and Humphrey injured his calf in the loss. If the injuries keep them out any longer, Martin could see starting reps. He still has some growing up to do, but the coaching staff has clearly been gaining faith in him.

Loser: Offensive line

The offensive line was horrendous. They had quarterback Lamar Jackson playing hero ball for several moments, and failed to make any improvements through four weeks now.

The starting unit also lost left tackle Ronnie Stanley for the game. Stanley left with an ankle injury and did not return. The offensive front has failed to clear lanes for Henry and keep Jackson’s pocket clean. Stanley was the only one playing well in both departments so far this season, and they are sure to take a hit if the Notre Dame product misses time moving forward.

There may need to be changes made up front if the problems continue. Left guard Andrew Vorhees had been one of the worst starters, and he did himself no favors in Kansas City.

Loser: Rasheen Ali

Running back Rasheen Ali has been on the active roster on gameday rosters for his special teams ability. He is the starting kick returner and plays on coverage units. However, his performance on Sunday may let Mitchell gain ground on him.

Ali returned two kicks compared to Hill’s five. He also muffed one late in the third quarter and ultimately set Baltimore up in horrible field position for the ensuing drive. He totaled 31 yards on the two returns for an average of 15.5 yards per return and a long of 21.

Baltimore’s offense needs a spark, and Mitchell could be that guy. This poor performance may have pushed Ali out of a job.
