Larry “Wes” Henson, better known as “Captain Dee-Fense” to those in the know, has made Maxim’s list of 9 signature NFL fans. The self proclaimed Ravens super fan has been a fixture at games basically since the team’s inception, becoming just as famous as a player on the team along the way.

Henson saw his star rise like a rocket during the team’s 2000 Super Bowl run. The Ravens defense became the most feared in the league and made Henson look like a genius. Fans relentlessly chanted “DEE-FENSE” and Henson got tons of TV camera love.
2002 saw Henson become Visa’s “Fan of the Year” and gain induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame “Hall of Fans.” The former Navy technician certainly looks like he might have been a football player at one time, standing in at 6’4″ and a muscular 235 pounds. His presence on the Maxim list is well deserved, and we hope to see him in the stands for years to come.
