We knew it was going to be close, but the latest matchup between these two division rivals went down to the wire as we saw the Baltimore Ravens beat the Cleveland Browns 23-21.  Justin Tucker sealed the win with a 38 yard field goal with four seconds left on the clock.

The victory came with a bitter taste as the Ravens lost tight end Dennis Pitta to what appeared to be a brutal non contact injury to his right hip, the same hip Pitta dislocated and fractured last season.  Pitta was carted off the field and reportedly taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Steve Smith again came up huge for the Ravens with five receptions for 101 yards, including a 33 yard catch that put the team in field goal position with the clock ticking down.  Lorenzo Taliaferro had a phenomenal debut as he led the Ravens in rushing with 18 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown.

The Browns put up a big fight in this game, as expected, and Brian Hoyer had a great day as well, completing 19 of 25 passes for 290 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions.  Hoyer operated in a clean pocket all day long as the Ravens defense failed to generate any pressure.  Andrew Hawkins led the Browns with 7 catches for 87 yards.

The Ravens move to 2-1 on the season and in the division, while the Browns fall to 1-2.  The Ravens host the Panthers at home next week, in what should be an entertaining game for one Steve Smith.
