After Dennis Pitta suffered his season ending injury, we knew that the Ravens were going to run more three receiver sets. Theoretically, this meant that either Jones or Marlon Brown would see more action. But it wasn’t Jones, who wound up with 6 snaps to Brown’s 31.
What made things worse was how Jones handled those snaps. He got one target, and promptly committed one of the worst drops you will ever see. Meanwhile, Brown caught all three of his targets and even Kamar Aiken turned his sole target into a 22 yard gain. Jones is in danger of not only remaining number four on the depth chart, but may even slip to number five.
