Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Final Score 48-17
One week after suffering a disheartening loss on the road to the Indianapolis Colts, this week’s road show saw the Baltimore Ravens crush the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48-17. Joe Flacco had an improbable first half, throwing five touchdowns as the Ravens simply dominated the hapless Bucs. Flacco completed 21 of 29 passes for 306 yards, the 5 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and a 146.0 passer rating.
Flacco also took zero sacks one week after absorbing four. The ground game had an impressive showing as well against a Bucs defense that had no answer for a Ravens offense that simply did whatever they pleased. Justin Forsett took 14 carries for 111 yards (7.9 avg), and this week was spelled by an ineffective Bernard Pierce, who rushed 14 times for 32 yards (2.1 avg) and a touchdown.

Steve Smith shook off his slump against the Colts and cornerback Vontae Davis last week, securing 5 of 6 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown. Torrey Smith caught 4 of 5 targets for 51 yards and two touchdowns in what was easily his best game of the season. Also catching touchdowns were rookie Michael Campanaro and Kamar Aiken.
The Ravens defense broke out of their sack slump by racking up 5 on the Bucs with an astounding 15 quarterback hits. Elvis Dumervil had 1.5 and Terrell Suggs, Pernell McPhee, Daryl Smith had one while Brandon Williams had 0.5. Suggs added four quarterback hits while C.J. Mosley added two and a team high eight tackles.
The Ravens improve to 4-2, while the Bucs fall to 1-5. The Ravens come home in week seven to face the Atlanta Falcons before they head back out on the road to take on the Bengals and Steelers.
