Justin Forsett: Jaguars Release “Darkest Moment of my Career”

Dan Pompei has a great read over at Bleacher Report that chronicles the tumultuous career of Justin Forsett.  It’s amazing that smallish running backs were an afterthought until just recently, and now many of them are simply dominating at the professional level.  It’s nice to see Forsett finally getting the chance to shine and seizing it.

Torrey Smith and Lorenzo Taliaferro Miss Practice Wednesday

Both are dealing with knee sprains, while Taliaferro has an ankle sprain as well.  Right now it’s looking like both will be questionable at best for Sunday’s game, and we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see both of them sit out a game the Ravens can win without them.

Joe Flacco is Notably Better When Throwing to His Left

Very interesting statistics here.  Flacco’s QB rating when throwing to his left is nearly double what it is when throwing to his right.

Elvis Dumervil Wins AFC Defensive Player of the Week

A well deserved award after Doom racked up 3.5 sacks against the Dolphins to bring his season total to an NFL leading 16.  And he broke the Ravens’ franchise record for sacks in a season to boot.

Kamar Aiken Might Play More Down the Stretch

The preseason star shined bright in place of Torrey Smith Sunday, notching a career best performance.  With Torrey Smith hobbled, the Ravens would be smart to give Aiken some more reps down the stretch.
