Welcome to the Daily Caw, where we round up all the latest Ravens roster moves for your convenience.  Today we take a look at Joe Flacco’s career season, recap a flurry of Ravens roster moves from yesterday, glance at the favorable schedule ahead, and the ridiculous number of players the team has placed on I.R. this year.

Recapping Ravens Roster Moves

It was a busy, busy day in Baltimore as the Ravens made a slew of roster moves.  The team placed Asa Jackson, Lorenzo Taliaferro, and Terrence Brooks on injured reserve, and signed defensive tackle Casey Walker off the Patriots’ practice squad. They also promoted Ryan Jensen from their own practice squad, and reportedly worked out a number of free agent cornerbacks.

Joe Flacco Quietly Having Career Year

Flacco has certainly had his ups and downs this season, but his total body of work speaks for itself.  He is on pace to set career highs for completion percentage, passing yards, touchdowns, and passer rating, all while he is also on pace to throw the fewest number of interceptions in his career.

Schedule Falling into Place for Ravens

Things are really falling into place for the Ravens.  A few weeks ago, facing the Texans and Browns was a much more daunting task than it is now, but quarterback changes have shifted the landscape considerably.  While nothing is obviously guaranteed in the NFL, those changes certainly help their chances of winning out.

Ravens Have a Busy Medical Staff

With the addition of the three aforementioned players to the Ravens’ injured reserve list, the team has now placed 16 players on I.R. this year.  That is the most players the team has placed on I.R. since 2008, when 19 players were on the list.
