It’s literally do or die for the Ravens this week as they host the Cleveland Browns in 2014’s regular season finale.  After losing control of their destiny last week in a disappointing loss to the Texans, the Ravens simply have to win this week to have any shot at the postseason.  They must also hope for a Chargers loss to the Chiefs to secure a spot.

Las Vegas seems to think that they can, giving the Ravens a big 10 point advantage over the Browns this week.  It’s the second biggest spread of week 17 behind only the Broncos’ 14 point nod over the Raiders.  This is likely due to the injury bug that has struck the Browns at the quarterback position, as they may be forced to roll out undrafted rookie Conner Shaw this week.

But as we saw last week against Case Keenum and the Texans, that may not matter.  If the Ravens’ offense continues to struggle this week, they are in danger of getting upset for the second week in a row.  We don’t think lightning will strike twice, but this is the NFL of course.  Anything is possible.

The 41 1/2 point total is the third lowest of the week, which isn’t surprising.  The Browns will most likely struggle to score points with their quarterback conundrum, and the Ravens have struggled to put points on the board lately as well.  We do believe that this number will prove to be a bit low in the end.

Here are this week’s Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns odds.  What do you think about the predictions?
