2015 NFL Combine: Baltimore Ravens Meeting With Multiple Players
By Brett Foote
The 2015 NFL Combine is gearing up and the world is fixated on what many call a “track meet” for the next wave of professional football talent. As teams interview these young men and compare measurables, the rest of us speculate which of them might wind up on our favorite teams.
The Baltimore Ravens have already been linked to five players, all of whom have already met with or will be meeting with team officials in Indianapolis. Those players include tight ends Clive Walford (Miami) and Maxx Williams (Minnesota), and offensive tackles La’el Collins (LSU), Brandon Scherff (Iowa), and Donovan Smith (Penn State). Let’s take a deeper look at these five players and their respective college careers.
Clive Walford
What Walford lacks in elite athleticism, he makes up for with strong blocking, a physical build, quickness, and the ability to haul in contested passes.
Maxx Williams
Williams is a pass catching, move tight end who has straight line speed and the ability to threaten defenses deep. His college production was meager in a run first offense, but he flashed when given opportunities, leading all college tight ends with 9 catches of 25+ yards.
