Last week I discussed the top pass rushers that are catching everyone’s attention and which might possibly fall to the Ravens at the 26th pick. This week, I want to talk about the more realistic possibility of the Ravens taking a shot on a later round prospect who can learn and develop behind the veteran sack masters currently on the roster.
It is all well and good saying that edge rushers are a deep class this year, but who is actually out there and who would be a good fit in the Ravens 3-4 defense? Here are a few players that should be available in the second or third round of the upcoming NFL Draft.

Speaking of players who fit a 3-4 system, why not kick things off with a 4-3 DE? Bear with me though… Hunter is an athletic freak who, given time to learn, should be able to adapt as a 3-4 outside linebacker. His measurements are off the charts at 6’5″, 252 pounds, and Hunter runs a 4.52 40 yard dash.
Hunter is likely to fall to round two as his instincts are questionable and he sometimes gets lost on plays where his speed doesn’t win. At the end of round two, this kind of athlete is rare and Hunter could be a great pickup, though he would need time to learn and develop his technique.
