Can you imagine the receiver who was an arms length away from potentially catching the game winning touchdown in Super Bowl XLVII in purple and black? Well it is certainly possible.

Michael Crabtree is currently playing the “wait and see” game with free agency, as he seems hesitant to sign for anything less than top receiver money. The problem with that, however, is the teams that are interested in his services have legitimate concerns over Crabtree’s lack of explosiveness and his off the field attitude.

After a disappointing 2014 season with the 49ers, Crabtree might be wise to sign a one year “prove it” deal if he truly believes he is worth being paid as a top receiver. A situation like in Baltimore would be mutually beneficial, as it would give the Ravens a proven target to line up with Steve Smith Sr., and Crabtree would have every opportunity to show he can still be a game changer in the NFL.

One thing to note here: Crabtree is an unrestricted free agent, so signing him would come at the cost of a compensatory pick. So it will be a difficult decision to make for Ozzie Newsome in regards to if the benefit of adding Crabtree will outweigh the loss of a draft pick.
