In addition to meeting with draft prospects at the Combine and at various college pro days, the Baltimore Ravens are also holding a local prospects day at their training complex on April 21st.  The Baltimore Sun is reporting that a couple of prospects will be in attendance, including Cal safety Michael Lowe and Kansas safety Cassius Sendish.

Michael Lowe is a Hyattsville native and DeMartha Catholic graduate who racked up 224 tackles, four interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and nine pass deflections in his college career.  He ran a 4.70 40 at his pro day and recorded 13 reps on the bench press, a 28.5 inch vertical, and a 9-5 broad jump.

Cassius Sendish is a Waldorf native who attended North Point High School prior to landing in Kansas. He finished 2014 with 69 tackles, an interception, a fumble recovery, and was named as an All-Big 12 Conference honorable mention selection.  He is projected to be a later round pick.

With safety a shallow position in this year’s draft, it’s no surprise that the Ravens are turning over any stone they can to find quality players.  Even after adding Kendrick Lewis, they should be looking to add depth with last year’s third round pick Terrence Brooks likely to begin 2015 on PUP.  A later round prospect makes a lot of sense as a depth piece.
