Vince Mayle
Wide Receiver, Washington State
Mayle is one of my favorite sleepers from this year’s draft class. He is a former basketball player and has a big frame, so could make an instant impact in the red zone. Mayle also looks impressive when tracking the ball over his shoulder and has surprising speed. With good coaching he might be able to become a well rounded threat.
The reasons Mayle will fall are his limited playing experience and his moves off of the line, which in the NFL will cause receivers to struggle to beat anyone. However, with a year of two to develop and learn the ins and outs of the position, Mayle might be able to become one of the top receivers on the roster. Initially I think he would be best served in the red zone but watch this space.
Like Diggs, Mayle will likely be taken around the fourth or fifth round and could be another player worthy of a pick.
In a deep receiving class and with plenty of picks to burn, the Ravens may well be able to find the threats they need. These are just a few of the players I like out of the many out there so watch out for the later rounds this year.
