2015 NFL Draft Steals the Baltimore Ravens Missed

The 2015 NFL Draft has come and gone, and the Baltimore Ravens walked away with nine good picks. Not to mention a crop of promising undrafted free agents ready to try out. Now we can look forward to minicamp and training camp as these players do their best to make an impression.

Which isn’t to say that the Ravens didn’t miss out on a few players that might have been great fits on the roster.  There were a handful great values staring them in the eye throughout the draft who the team decided to pass on.  Of the 256 players picked in the draft, five stand out to me as 2015 NFL Draft steals the Ravens missed out on.

It’s hard to believe that Jaelen Strong lasted until the 3rd round, and the Texans got an absolute steal. For a long time he was regarded as the 4th best receiver in the draft and I still had him in that spot during the draft. I think he’s going to be an excellent pro and I really see a lot of A.J. Green in him.

Even now, I prefer him to Breshad Perriman. The Ravens didn’t pay Torrey Smith because he wasn’t the number one they’d hoped he’d be, but Perriman is almost the same player, so the pick still doesn’t make a load of sense to me. Strong, however, is built more like a number one receiver.
