Top Baltimore Ravens Players of All Time: Quarterbacks

2 Lombardi trophies, 2 AFC Championships out of 4 AFC Championship appearances, 4 AFC North Division Championships, and 10 playoff appearances.  3 Defensive Players of the Year, 2 Super Bowl MVPs, 1 Defensive Rookie of the Year and 1 Walter Payton Man of the Year.

And that was just the first 20 years.

It’s been a great ride thus far with the Baltimore Ravens and one can only believe that the ride will continue to soar over the next 20 years. But let us take a look back over the Ravens first 20 years as I introduce to you:

THE TOP BALTIMORE RAVENS PLAYERS OF ALL TIME

To kick this off, let’s take a look at the brains on the offensive side of the ball, the quarterbacks.

1. Joe Flacco
2. Steve McNair
3. Vinny Testaverde

Vinny Testaverde was the Ravens’ inaugural signal caller. He was the Flacco before Flacco, but unfortunately didn’t see the postseason during his time in the purple and black. If only we could have found him some help to go along with Michael Jackson (not to be confused with the King of Pop).

There was no one more charismatic and proficient, even in the tail end of his career, than one Steve McNair. The best season in Ravens history (2006, 13-3, AFC North Division Champions) came by way of Air McNair.

It goes uncontested that Joe Flacco is without a doubt the greatest quarterback in Ravens history. Of the three mentioned, he’s the only one with a Super Bowl ring and was named the Super Bowl MVP. He currently is the franchise leader in completions, yards and touchdowns.

Of the three, he also has the best QB Rating at 84.8. Remember 11 touchdowns and ZERO interceptions during the 2012 Super Bowl run? Remember the 5 touchdowns in one half vs. Tampa Bay? Needless to say, it gets no better than January Joe, Joe Cool, Joe Flacco in Ravens history.

So what do you think? Would you rank them any differently? Would you throw in Kyle Boller or Tony Banks?

Stay tuned for the next position up.

Next: Will Breshad Perriman be better than Torrey Smith?
