2015 Baltimore Ravens Roster Breakdown: Safety
By Brett Foote
Who will stick on the final roster?
In 2014, the Ravens emerged from final cuts with six safeties, not including Will Hill (who was suspended). I don’t see them holding that many this year on the final, 53 man roster. Last season’s glut at the position meant that the team only carried four corners, which proved to be a mistake.

That said, the roster locks are Hill and Lewis. I don’t think the Ravens will cut Elam yet, but crazier things have happened and his play last year was atrocious. Brooks will be on PUP and maybe I.R. after that. Levine and Trawick have good shots at sticking on the roster as reserves and special teams players.
Perry is a wild card, but he has the talent to succeed. The Ravens have shown a willingness to keep undrafted players if they prove they can play, so it boils down to his performance across offseason activities.
For now, my early guess is that the Ravens will carry five safeties on the final roster: Hill, Lewis, Levine, Elam, and Trawick. But don’t be surprised if Perry steps up and forces one of those guys out with a strong camp.
